Position Summary
The ideal candidate will design electronic systems and test embedded firmware based upon product specifications. The candidate will oversee electronic designs including schematic entry, component placement, PCB layout, BOM generation, and create test plans and procedures. The position requires the ability to troubleshoot electrical or embedded firmware issues and drive engineering solutions. The candidate should demonstrate a hands-on approach to problem solving.
Qualifications
- BS EE with focus on Digital Design
- Minimum of 5 years related electronics design experience
- Proficient in Altium Designer or similar board design software for PCB design, including schematic capture, layout, Bill of Material
- Familiar with 3D CAD design
- Hands-on work will require the ability to design, build, test and troubleshoot
- In-depth understanding of PCB production and related technologies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and respond quickly to changing priorities
- The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to research and learn
Responsibilities
- Research, document, and report on industry leading technologies
- Research and document design concepts
- Develop concept prototypes
- Develop, document, and execute test plans
- Design electronic sensors and systems
- Facilitate design reviews
- Collaborate with manufacturing in DFM activities
- Utilize PLM software to document designs
- Qualify vendors for electronic component manufacturing and supply
- Test and qualify electronic components
- Create design documentaiton to support manufacturing
- Provide product requirements to the test department
- Participate with test, manufacturing and quality departments in the root cause analysis of design or product nonconformities

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our product development team. The primary focus for this position will be the support of firmware for existing products and the realization of new products. The successful candidate will also be involved with the creation, implementation and analysis of creative algorithms relating to inertial systems and sensors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in embedded C / C++
- Experience working with microprocessors
- Experience with embedded RTOS
- Experience with ARM processors and compilers
- Excellent analytical, organization and communication skills
- Familiarity with inertial sensors a plus
- Strong debugging skills

The Inertial Test Operator is responsible for loading products onto precision test fixtures, loading fixtures into exact orientations in test chambers, securing electrical connections from products to electronic acquisition systems and controlling test execution through custom computer applications.
